CUMULUS METALLICA is a 9 x 2.5 hour painting course where you’ll learn to paint dramatic skyscapes using acrylic paints, inks, pencils, paint mediums, metallic foils, and metallic paints. I teach step by step, so you’ll NEVER be thrown in the deep end without a lifesaving device! This course suits both beginners and intermediates. I’ll start you off with easy, manageable techniques… then build on your skills as we go. For the first four weeks, you’ll practise painting a range of skyscapes. I’ll guide you, step by step, through skies, clouds, sunsets and more. In the final five weeks, you’ll design and paint your own unique artwork—with me on hand if you get stuck! If you're in the “I can’t draw” camp... never fear! I’ve got a raft of techniques to get you over that line. Promise! Beginners are welcome, and improvers will get extended. I never leave anyone stranded. If you get in a pickle, I can morph into a Rescue Remedy Art Ambulance in ten seconds flat. Just wear old clothes and be ready for a fun time! What You’ll Learn: • Which brushes, sponges, paints, inks, stencils, pens, and stamps to use • How to blend inks and paints using gel, sponges, and brushes • How to paint skyscapes in four different styles • How to design your own skyscape (you choose the difficulty!) • How to paint your masterpiece over five classes—with help if needed What’s Supplied? • Your own art kit to take home (brushes, lidded paint palette, pencils, pens, A4 heavy paper, and a clear file folder) • Paints, foil, inks, gels, sponges, pencils, templates, pastels, and crayons to use in class • Step-by-step instruction sheets (you’re welcome to photograph them) You’ll need to bring your own final canvas if you want to paint on one. If you’d like to continue at home, I’ll advise you on what to buy—no need to purchase supplies before class starts. Class Size: Up to 12 students.
