'Inky Magic: One Day Workshop for Adults at the Whanganui Community Arts Centre $180 Per Person After practicing techniques using inks, pens, and metallic foils (and more!) you will design your own painting and complete your very own canvas. This class would be a great place for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS to start! Also fun for non-beginners who want to use inks, metallics and foils. I’ll teach you STEP-BY-STEP so you won’t feel swamped or befuddled! My aim is to build your confidence by nudging you towards skills mastery. I provide step-by-step illustrated ‘guides’ and I demonstrate EVERYTHING! Then I circulate constantly to make sure you’re on the right track. If necessary, I can rescue you if you get into a pickle! That’s my job! LEARN Which brushes, inks, paint and metallic pens, and metallic FOILS to use How to blend inks How to PATTERN using paint, gel pens and inks (using my resources to help you!) How to apply metallic FOILS… the easy way how to plan and paint your own INKY MAGIC composition. The colours, layout etc. are up to you… but I will guide you! WHAT IS PROVIDED Inks, metallic FOILS, sponges, brushes, gel pens, heavy A4 cartridge A variety of brushes, including rig and fan brushes, SPONGES etc A canvas ( either 30 x 30 cm or A3 sized ) Hairdryers, water containers, rags, painters tape etc Step-by-step INSTRUCTION SHEETS ( that you are welcome to photograph for future reference ) WHERE : Whanganui Community Arts Centre - 19 Taupo Quay, Whanganui 4500 WHEN : Sunday 26th of July 2026 TIMES : 9.00 am - 4.30pm CLASS SIZE: Usually up to 12 students.
