Texture and Light Series

My ‘alchemic  discoveries’ led to the creation of a series of art works that marked a new direction. In my ‘Texture and Light’ series, I use natural materials like rust and sand in order to evoke natures forms, light and textures.  I have immersed myself  in inventing new techniques and products where I build up layers using rust, copper, gold leaf, sand and crackle pastes. These works evoke everything from a fleeting moment of glowering light on water or cloud, to the slow subtle impact of erosion on our ancient land.
