Whether you are a raw beginner or a seasoned ‘intermediate’ you CAN complete this painting and have fun in just one day! I’ll teach you STEP-BY-STEP so you won’t feel swamped or befuddled! My aim is to build your confidence by nudging you towards skills mastery. I provide step-by-step illustrated ‘guides’ and I demonstrate EVERYTHING! Then I circulate constantly to make sure you’re on the right track. If necessary, I can rescue you if you get into a pickle! That’s my job! ‘Let It Be’ is a one day workshop where you will be taught how to paint stylised silhouetted fauna and flora and more. After practising these techniques using stamping, scraping and printing to create your backgrounds, you will design your own composition and paint your very own canvas. This class would be a great place for absolute beginners to start. LEARN * Learn which brushes /sponges /paints/ inks/ stencils/ art pens /stamps to use. * Learn how to blend inks and paints using art gel, sponges, brushes etc. * Practice painting chromatic silhouettes in a few different ways. * Practice painting backgrounds. * Plan your own composition. The colours, layout etc are up to you. * Paint your masterpiece WHAT IS PROVIDED Acrylic Paints, Inks and Artists Gel Medium (magic stuff), pencils, stencils etc A variety of brushes, including rig and fan brushes, sponges etc… to use in class A canvas ( either 30 x 30 cm or A3 sized ) Hairdryers, water containers, rags, painters tape etc Step-by-step INSTRUCTION SHEETS ( that you are welcome to photograph for future reference ) WHERE : My workshop: 49 Huatoki Street, Vogeltown, New Plymouth, WHEN : Sunday 28th of June 2026 TIMES : 9.00 am - 4.30pm CLASS SIZE: Usually up to 12 students.
