Kapiti ‘INKY MAGIC’, ONE DAY WORKSHOP - DATE: Saturday 21st November 2026 - TIME: 9.00am to 4.00pm - VENUE: Kapiti Arts and Crafts, Matai Road, Raumati Beach - Price: $180 per person (all materials are supplied) INKY MAGIC is a ONE DAY WORKSHOP. After practising techniques using inks, pens, and metallic foils, you will design your own composition and paint your very own canvas. This class would be a great place for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS to start! Also fun for non beginners who want to use inks and foils in a new way. Even if you’ve never held a paintbrush before, you WILL be able to manage this painting. I’m always on hand to help out and rescue students when necessary. Worried about drawing / patterning? (most people ARE!) Never Fear. I’ve got PLENTY of resources to help. Promise! Just wear old clothes, BRING YOUR LUNCH and be ready for a fun time! You Will Learn… Which brushes / sponges / inks / art pens / and metallic FOILS to use. How to blend inks using water, sponges, brushes etc. How to PATTERN using gel pens and inks (using my resources to help you) How to apply metallic FOILS How to plan and paint your own INKY MAGIC composition. The colours, layout etc are up to you...but I will guide you! What’s supplied? ALL MATERIALS FOR THE DAY ARE SUPPLIED, INCLUDING A CANVAS. (Inks, metallic FOILS, sponges, brushes, pencils, gel pens, heavy A4 paper, a canvas etc) Step-by-step instruction sheets to use in class. (You are welcome to photograph them for future reference.) Class Size: Up to 12 students Bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee supplied. This will be a very busy, but relaxing day.
