KINGFISHER LEVITATION For Beginners and Intermediates Nine Evening Classes 6.30 pm - 9.00 pm WEDNESDAY EVENINGS from 22nd April to the 17th June 2026. ‘Kingfisher Levitation’ is a 9 x 2.5 hour painting course where you will learn to paint in a realistic style. You’ll be using acrylic paints, inks, pencils, paint mediums, and metallic paints. This course is suitable for beginners and intermediates. I’ll start you off with easier, manageable techniques… then add to your skill base as you go along. For the first four weeks, I’ll teach you SKILLS SKILLS SKILLS … all to do with painting birds, particularly kingfishers In the last five weeks of the term, you’ll design and paint your own Kingfisher work of art. I’ll be right there to help you if you get stuck! For these classes I’ll definitely help you with your composition and actual painting If you are in the “ I can’t draw” camp… never fear! I have a raft of techniques at my disposal… to get you over that line. Promise! Beginners are WELCOME and Improvers will get ‘extended’. I never leave people stranded, so if you get into a pickle...I am your Rescue Remedy Art Ambulance. Just wear old clothes and be ready for a fun time! What's supplied? * YOUR OWN ART KIT that you can take away with you (Some brushes, a lidded paint palette, heavy duty A4 paper and a clear file folder. * Paints, inks, gels, sponges, pencils, stencils, to use in class. * Step-by-step instruction sheets to use in class. (you can photograph them) * You WILL need to provide your own final canvas if you want to paint on one. If you want to paint at home, you’ll need to buy your own paints and inks. (I can talk to you about what to buy… so you don’t need to buy anything before classes start.) CLASS SIZE: Up to 12 students.
