Wednesday MORNING Class Starts the 22nd of April & runs over 9 weeks
Service Description
For Beginners and Intermediates Nine morning classes 9.15am - 11.45 am 22nd April - 17th June ‘ LOOKING TO THE ISLAND’… a naturalistic beach / seascape… where you will learn to paint the elements of a painting STEP BY STEP. I focus on SKILLS, SKILLS, SKILLS, especially in the first four weeks of the term. You’ll create your final painting once you’ve ‘ mastered’ painting all of the elements ( flax, clouds etc). Lots of adults haven’t touched a paintbrush since they were children… so I deliberately pitch my classes to beginners and improvers. And yes… beginners CAN paint a beach / seascape like this one! If ‘drawing’ freaks you out, that’s normal! I have my ‘ magic methods’ to get you to the finishing post! Just wear old clothes and be ready for a fun time! I never leave people stranded, so if you get into a pickle...I’m there to help. It takes me just ten seconds to morph into a Rescue Remedy ArtAmbulance. YOU WILL … Learn how to blend inks and paints using gels, sponges, brushes etc. Practise painting Sky and Clouds … mix paints to create a realistic looking skyscape. Use dry brushes, sponges, gels etc Practise painting Toe Toe ( Toi Toi ) Inks, pens and acrylic paints used here! Practise painting Harakeke ( Flax and flax flowers ) Practise painting Sand and Sea THEN… Design your final composition ( I can help! ) Paint your masterpiece over five classes PROVIDED … Your own Art Kit that you can take away with you (brushes, paint pallet, heavy paper, an A4 clear file folder, plus some other material) AVAILABLE TO USE IN CLASS: Acrylic paints, inks (various brands) and all heavy duty paper, gel medium, sponges, pencils, pastels and crayon, step-by-step INSTRUCTION SHEETS to use in class.
